We have a Jet cabinet saw in the shop, but want to have a small one at the job for on-site rips, etc. Don’t want a high end saw; pretty much use for this job (probably another three months) and if there’s nothing left, no problem. What do you like in this category?

I like the Dewalt but it might be a little pricier than you're lookin for. Great saw. Used it for two years so far and if it ever breaks I'll be buying another one.
Now im not saying go out and buy a cheep saw because its a good saw, but, I have 2 cheep saws for just the reason you mentioned. I bought the skill 10 in port table saw 7 years ago it still sells for around 160.00 and its a good cheep saw thats still a workhorse and its still going strong. I also have a cheeper ryobe 99.00 saw its not even a good saw but first thing you do is get rid of the blade it comes with and put on a decent blade and it will cut plywood and 2x stock fine , not great just fine. had that 3 years and its still going . my main job saw is the one ridgid makes on the folding stand and its a lot better then the other two but it cost 500.00
im looking at getting the Bosch table saw as it just came out with a folding stand with wheels for 579.00 and its a nice job saw.
good luck Dogboy
