Do you know what basic style she prefers?? Craftsman-style books are plentiful. Or is she more a Shaker person? Something else?

Hi forest girl-been reading your posts for some time now. thankyou for all the good reading.
My wife seems to like the older style of tables such as victorian, and the early french style the problem being, I am no good at carving. thanks for the reply, bob
Bob, there may still be hope. The restoration companies carry applied molding that you might be able to substitute for carving. VanDyke's <click> is one I remember. Browsing on-line can be cumbersome and frustrating, but you can order a printed catalog.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
