SNIPE DESPITE FLAT AND ALIGNED PLANER JOINTER TABLES

I have a Delta X5 planer jointer. I have a problem of snipe as I finish running boards through the machine. I have checked with a straight edge that the jointer tables are flat and aligned with each other and yet the snipe persists. I have your book maintaining shop machines and have followed it. Can you help?

Check outfeed table height
Hi,
You can get snipe on the tail end of a board on the jointer if the outfeed table is too low. After the end of the board leaves the infeed table, the little bit of wood holding the board up is ground up and the board drops into the cutterhead. Try slightly raising the outfeed table to see if it helps.
