I’m looking for a sheet of melamine for attaching to the top and bottom of a homemade MDF router table top. Does anyone know a good source for this? My last table was made from the MDF coated particle board from the Depot, and I’d rather not use that stuff again…
Thanks!

You should be able to find plastic laminate materials in 2x4', 4x4', & 4x8' sizes at that same HD or any other big box store.

Thanks Lee, but I haven't been able to locate any melamine or plastic laminate sheets anywhere, at the Depot, Lowe's or elsewhere. I had seen the thread you referred me to, but didn't find any new data on where to get an actual veneer of Melamine or formica type material.
Any other ideas, anyone? Or should I just use laminated MDF and coat the surface in Watco a few times? Or shellac?
Thx,
Rob
If home depot don't have call your local cabinet shop and ask them where they buy theres.
The HD here has it back by the counter tops. That is the Formica.
The 4 x 8 melamine is over in the plywood, they also have some in the shelving section. that is 2' x 4 ' and other sizes.
The Home Depot in my area has an area of laminate: it is located in the aisle with kitchen countertops. There should be about a dozen different styles. Hope this helps, Chris
