I am building the New Yankee router table and cannot find a source for the on/off switch. Has anyone an idea on where to get the switch? Thanks.

I haven't seen this table in a long time, what type of switch does it have? If you can't get it at the hardware store, Grizzly (grizzly.com) has lots of different switches available.
forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
I used a switch on my router table that had a 110 plug and switch combo. I looked like a duplex outlet only with a switch replacing one of the outlets. It works great. I cost about $7.

Sears has a switch you can use. Removable key, red paddle to punch off and outlet on back to plug-in router, ears to screw to base. Plastic.
Also, I made my own using an outdoor electrical box with cover. Mount a wide flat switch (can't remember what it's called) and screw a thin block of wood inside the cover. You hit the cover and it turns off. Flip up and press to turn on.
And, I think Highland Hardware has a reasonably priced switch for table saws you might like.
Joe,
You can build one. Go to the hardware and buy a 4" x 4" electric box, one wall switch rated for 20 amps, one 20 amp outlet, one box to cord clamp fitting, the shortest 12 gauge extension they have, and a cover plate. I won't try to tell you how to wire because I don't know your electrical abilities. If you have the knowledge to wire, it will be a piece of cake for you, otherwise ask some one to show you how to do it.
