Does anyone know of a source for button shellac, preferably in Canada?

Well, Lee Valley doesn't seem to carry it. If you don't find a CAN source, try:
http://www.homesteadfinishing.com/htdocs/Shellaccatalog.htm
forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Thanks. I tried Lee Valley first as we have a store here in town. I checked out that web site, but it looks like they only ship to the lower 48, which we are not one of . . . . . yet :)
There is a place in Vancouver that imports buttonlac, but they are out of stock. They import it from India and might be able to get some in a couple of months. I have 8 chairs sitting in my shop that I need to get finished before that. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Google comes to the rescue again! Try this one:

Here's their home page:http://www.kremer-pigmente.de/englisch/homee.htm
Their USA catalog covers USA, Canada and Mexico.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
He does not ship to Canada.
Yeah, we figured that out. I gave him another link that does ship to Canada.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Thanks for your help, I am going to try the Can. site first to avoid import duties and God knows what other expenses. A co-worker just ordered some T-shirts from IAFF and they ended up costing nearly $30 each once exchange our friendly taxation guys got through with him.
Glad you were able to find someone locally! Have fun.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
In Canada try:
http://www.woodessence.com/Shellacdefault.html (not affiliated)
Thanks. Woodessence looks like a winner and the prices seem to be the same in Can $ as the US site and I will avoid all the duty balogna of bringing something into the country.
You can also try Woodfinishingsupplies.com. He ships to Canada, and has a link on his site to a Canadian company, Wood Essence Distributing.
Thanks to all.
I heard back from Wood Essence this morning and hopefully should have some of that buttonlac in my hot little hands by very early next week . . . . . if the posties don't go on strike!
cheers
