I am trying to find a supplier for space balls. They are used when constructing floating panel doors to keep the panels centered.

A google search on "cabinet door space balls" brought up 408,000 hits.
You can narrow the list to http://www.rockler.com or http://www.woodworker.com

Steven, I have never used them, I pin the center of the top and bottom of the panel with a brad nail. This is how it was done before hi-tech, still works.

Sommerfelds CMT sells strips of foam that do the same thing as spaceballs.
They're precut to about 3/4" length and about 1/4" thick.
I use them for panels that may expand or slip.
If you have a Woodcraft Supply store in your area, you might try them. I bought some off the shelf about two weeks ago.

Polybutylene (sp?) rope, usually yellow, that you can buy off the roll at the hardware store works well. It's stiff enough to keep the panel in place, but easily compresses for wood movement.
Two drops of silicone on each rail and stile works well also.
Please check with WOODCRAFT. They do stock them. We use them often.

I'm not sure how this will help you with doors, though. One of my favorite movies of all time.
(in case you're wondering, I'm just kidding)
