Was the bit still in the drill when they removed it. Thank God for variable reverse feature!
Reminds me of a story I tell my grand kids:
Seems an electritian was hauling a length of 3/4"steel conduit strapped to his van and attached to it was a small red bandana.
Two old ladies in a sedan were following the van, when the van stopped abruptly.
The pipe went through the driver's head and through her rear passenger's too.
The emergency crew had to cut the roof open and lift the pair out on the pipe.
Note: flag was still attached. Stein.
