I have a client that has a unit which I’ll call a buffet type cabinet with a pull out table. Unit is approx 18″ deep x 42″ wide. There are two legs attached to a streacher in front which will pull out to approx 72″ through a series of wood extensions. Table only extends from front of unit which when pulled exposes extensions, you then install the leafs over the extensions. I need to know what this type of unit is called and where can I find the extension track supplier. Client wants me to build a unit as this for her brother. Need help soon.
Thanks Bob

72" Is a lot for commercial slides. If you need information on making your own slides capable of that length let me know. I'll try to get a sketch posted.

I've see it done with multiple sets of slides. A friend of mine had to do a monster table that expanded for 14 diners. He used the drawer slides from those truck bed tool boxes with the 7' drawers. He used them edgewise hidden in plowed grooves in the rails. When extended, the exposed slides are hidden with sets of false rails that attach with rare earth magnets.
