I have to make some saloon style doors and need to attach them to a door frame threshold. They need to swing shut, but also be left open when desired. I’ve seen some cam and pivot type hinges but know not where to find them.
These are the ones I cannot use because they have to be mounted to the doorframe which is flat.

Does anyone know what I’m talking about?
Can anyone direct me to the right on-line supplier (other than van-dykes and Rockler).
The application is for a barricade to keep a client’s dogs corralled in the kitchen using frame and panel doors hung like in a saloon. They hang 2 inches above the floor, are 3′ high and are kept shut with a sliding bolt at the backside of the top.

Somertime ,
Look in the Rockler catalog under specialty hinges , look for what are called Cafe Door hinges part # 70425. I have used them many times and they do exactly what you want them to do with a fairly easy installation .
good luck dusty
EXACTLY what I was looking for! Thanks! I couldn't find them the first time at rockler. Didn't know what they were called.
