A freind is attempting to “rework” a tall clock and asked me to recreate a couple of pieces of trim. He doesn’t have a router table. Any body have an idea where I can get two router bits cut to a design? This clock has a date in it of 1585, I can’t vouch for the age but it appears quite old, (I didn’t make it !!)
Any help would be appreciated.

Can't help with the bit, but I'd think the manufacturer would cover this under warranty if your friend still has the receipt. ;-)
You would think so but the cash register hadn't been invented yet and the paper fell apart somewhere around 1695.
Custom router bits a typically $150 and up. With all the router bits available these days you should be able to find something that will work.
Thanks, I'll keep looking but at least I've got somethimg to tell him. (And watch him turn white !!!)

Did your son or grandson? LOL
Seriously though, with the cost of custom bits, would one of those multi-profile bits be made to reproduce what you need?
1 - measure the board twice, 2 - cut it once, 3 - measure the space where it is supposed to go 4 - get a new board and go back to step 1
