I just purchased Lux Cut III spiral carbide cutters for my Jet 6″ jointer and DeWalt 735 thicknes planer. Does anyone have any experience with these? If so, I would appreciate your comments.
Thanks
Allen

Hey there,
I'm also looking for the same product 'Lux Cut III spiral carbide cutters' and looking online anyone with some experience with it. Sadly, nothing I got yet. Did you used it? How was it?
If this is a helical head with individual carbide cutters, they will definitely be an upgrade.
Be aware they do seem to take a bit more power, so on a smaller machine it could become a factor that light cuts would suffice.
I have used the cutters for a few things now. They work well. It did take a bit to get the cutters aligned so that I did not get noticeable grooves, but having achieved that I get a really good cut and no tear out in Birdseye maple at 1/32 and less.
How did you align them? I’ve read that people need to use shims. Did you have that issue? If so, what did you use for a shim? I’m planning to buy the same cutter for my Delta JT360 and would appreciate any advice.
Thanks,
Jason
