Splay angle on mid century tapered round legs
Is anyone aware of a “normal” angle to splay legs on a mid century modern piece? I’d initially was looking at 10*, decided it might be too much. Cut for 5* and am concerned it may not be enough. The taper on the spindle is messing with me visualizing what I’m going to end up with.
Any and all input welcome.

There isn't, but one thing you can do is to craft some mock-ups out of scrap wood. Then you can play around with angle, length and so forth.
No rule, but the round legs tend to be more upright than the flat "sabre" legs. They normally land an inch or two inside the footprint of the case. Cut 2 of the leg shapes out of flat stock and clamp it to a cross piece so you can put it under the cabinet and change it until it looks right.
Many thanks to you both. I appreciate the assistance. Have a lovely day.
