ecoore,
Can you give us a bit more info ?
Are these modular or custom made cabinets ?
Is this where the cabinet side meets the face ?
If it is a face frame cabinet and it is separating at that joint , perhaps not enough glue was used , or it should have been clamped if it was not flat . It's hard to say exactly what's up with out seeing it or having more info .

these were custom made cabinet and it is where the board are joined to make the side panel
Is a heat or ac outlet blowing on that side of the cabinet? Any other source of hot or cold air? Drapes/blinds open and sun beating on that side of the cabinet? Radiator close?
yes it is beside the stove
How can i prevent the cabinets from splitting even though it is beside a heat source.
Use man-made sheet goods for the carcases, narrow stiles and rails, and plenty of room in the grooves for the raised panels to shrink and swell (use SpaceBalls).
ecoore ,
The joint splitting could be from material not being at the correct moisture content , or lack of glue or warpage or swelling possibly caused by say a boiling pot on the stove .
What type of finish is on the cabinets , and look carefully to see if there are any other finished ends or places that this is happening .
