Can you tel me some tricks to know what is my problem ? I have a HVlp gun from hausfeld campbell. My compressor is a big one with a 40psi like recommanded. I use lacquer.
But I use it in my garage, in during the winter it’s hard to heat..What’s happen if the laque is cold… or if the aire is cold ?
Thanks

Claudee,
Unfortunately spraying in a cold space is not good. The lacquer will not be able to flow out properly. That is your main problem.
If it looks like "orange peel" there are two main reasons for this; you are spraying your lacquer too thick or you are holding the gun too close to the surface and laying down a coat that is too thick.
Try thinning the lacquer by about 20% and keep your gun about eight inches away from the surface. Also try moving the gun at a rate of about a foot per second.
Good luck.
