I am new to this forum, but a few days ago I was reading a discussion concerning the ability to spray latex paint using an HVLP gun from Harbor Freight. In that post, several guys testified to how well that particular gun works for spraying latex, and it was not an expensive gun. Now I am not able to find that post anywhere. Do any of you have any experience regarding an inexpensive spray gun for latex?

My Campbell Hausfield HVLP system sprays latex just fine. It's all about getting the paint viscosity right.
The Wagner electric gun will spray latex. Use flotrol to thin the paint. Don't use water. My buddy painted houses for a summer and would get three or four houses out of a $60 gun. I've had good luck with my Wagner electric with latex as well.
Rick,
Thanks for the reply. This helps a lot.

I've used my hvlp to spray latex a couple of times. I needed to use a 2mm needle instead of the 1mm(standard), and flotrol, and it worked fine. Painted the fence around my pool in about 2 hours, would have taken me 2 days without it.
