Does anyone have experience with these stones? Do they function as well as waterstones? Currently I use waterstones and they work well. I am contemplating buying the ceramic stones because they appear to need only slight mantenance

Jabe I have three of the stones: the medium, fine and extra fine. I use these stone every time I sharpen my tools. I really enjoy using these stones. I've had them probably fifteen years or so. If the tool I have needs a 'touchup I go immediately to the fine - if I've been using the tool for a while I start with the medium and then move up in hardness ultimately finishing with a Japanese Nogura paste on the extra fine. The clean up is easy with a 3M Scouring pad and Bon Ami or Bartenders Helper. Keep them clean and they'll be among your favorites
