I have been having great success using MinWax Wipe-On Poly for my normal finish on table tops, but have recently had requests for a teak tone finish – they like the maple grain patterns but want the teak color. Recommendations? I typically do three sealer coats, hand wipe, then sand out at 320 and follow with three coats brush-on and then rub-out.

Colors
Where you buy your Min Wax poly they may have color samples using Min Wax stains on the common woods - a teak color may be something you can get to with their fruitwood color but check the chart - also allow for the amber color of the finish when matching a tone -
