OK, I’m well into my first deck using the new PT, and I can’t find ANY stainless hangers, etc.
I’m temporarily fastening everything with the new Fasttap screws made for the ACQ .. I plan to come back and install the hangers, etc, As Soon as I can find Some !
Where can I get SS hardware ?? I’m in san diego, but it looks like I’m going to have to order these from somewhere else.

Joe, I,m new to your terminology .What is PT?
What is ACQ? I think it refers to that new decking material.Composite not wood?
The hardware is probably angle brackets of some sort. Can you have a sheet metal fabricator drill ,cut and bend them to order? Stein.
It stands for pressure treated. I'm a deck builder, and all the sub structure for my outdoor projects is PT stock. For the decking I use ipe, sometimes meranti, screwed and plugged.
They've just come out with a new version of PT, supposedly better, but, it corrodes right thru zinc joist hangers, anchor bolts, nails and screws, so, all our fasteners now will have to be stainless steel ! Even the screws I use to fasten the decking will have to be stainless since they penetrate into the joists.hot dipped isn't enough protection against the corrosion.
For you home builders, even anchor bolts now will have to be stainless, and the nails you use to nail the studs to the mudsill !
Joe, see if you have a local dealer for Simpson Strong Tie products.

Joe,
I'd post this over on breaktime (Fine Homebuilding) for the pro builders - they are far more qualified to reply than the furniture and cabinetmakers who typically inhabit this forum.
Good luck,
Paul
mcfeeleys.com for your fastening needs
Deckmaster makes a deckboard fastening system that mounts underneath so that there are no visible screws. It comes in galvanized kits and stainless steel kits. Also you might try Jamestown Distributors (don't know web address try google to find). They are a quality boatbuilding hardware distributor on the East coast that has a good selection and reputation.
