Undoubtedly you are not in New Zealand-or I would rattle you up a set in no time-in a nice timber.
Why don't you have a go at making a set yourself? Even if you don't have a lathe to turn the knob I bet you have a drill press.Theese things always feel better if you have done them yourself.
If all else fails I believe that Steve Knight has taken up where Mike left off-making knobs totes etc....
I have them for sale on Ebay once in awhile... I should have a set out there within a few weeks. Go to Ebay and search under user name mvflaim...
I will sometimes buy a used plane for its parts; if the sole is in bad shape, the tote, chip breaker, etc., may still be in good condition.
Some places like Rockler or Woodcraft may sell them, though I don't know about their prices or quality.
