Hi!
Is anyone able to tell how old this Stanley 60 1/2 is? It looks quite new but with a ”vintage appearance”. Google was not of direct help. Stamped ”4” and ”CF” on the body. (Below the blade)
BR,
Simon

I've used this site in the past: https://virginiatoolworks.com/tools/stanley-planes/date-your-block-plane-type-study/
Not an expert so I'm going out on a limb but that looks like its a Stanley made in England plane, perhaps a G12-060. Can't comment on vintage but the body casting is Stanley England, not US. That said, cleaned up and sharpened it'll work just as well.
Thanks for your replies!
I do not know when they started or stopped production, but I bought one like it in the late 1980s from a hardware store going out of business. Except for a made in England No. 93, its the only Stanley plane I have purchased new. Tuned up it works fine even though I am not a fan of plastic knobs.
Don’t know the particulars of your plane. One of the best Stanley plane resources I know of is Patrick Leach’s site Blood and Gore here:

Looks like there’s limited dating info on your block plane tho.
