Several (25) years ago I came across some mortise chisels branded Stanley Goldenberg. They are nice but I can not find any information on them or their history. They were in plastic display packages so they can’t be ancient. Does anyone know of their history?
Thanks

I believe they were made in France. 1980s, maybe early 90s. They had some carving gouged, and the mortise chisel s were more of a sash mortise than pigsticker. Thicker blade, but metal hoop on top of a round handle, right.
The quality was all over the place. I heard that some held an edge well, and some were crap. They couldn't have sold many, as they don't surface that often.
Thanks for the info. The chisels I have hold an edge well seem to be good quality. Metric widths and wood handles. I wonder what else they produced?
