I’m looking for a set of the old style woodboring bits mfg., by Stanley.
The ones that I do have, have numbers on them. They appear to be model numbers, that don’t correspond with the size of the bit.
Here is a list of the numbers that I do have.
960-97-10
960-98-10
925-33-10
962-18-00
If anybody can tell me where I can find/purchase a set of these bits, I would really appreciate it.
NOTE: I will try to attach a picture of 1 of the bits.
Thanks

Could you describe them or post a photograph of them. Unless someone has the correct catalog the numbers don't tell very much. The first place to look is e-bay for discontinued tools.

Are they Stanley Powerbore bits which look like these Lee Valley bits?

If so Stanley discontinued the Powerbore bits the best part of twenty years ago. For genuine Stanley's you can try the shelves of old hardware stores, or look on eBay. None seem to be listed currently but a 7/8" one recently sold on eBay for $21.38.

Or you can try the Lee Valley ones.
Thanks Dave for the info.
I went to the Lee Valley site and ordered a set. They appear to be about the same as what Stanley was manufacturing.
Thanks again
Tom
