This may seem like a silly question but for the life of me I can’t determine how to switch the arbor from one starrett bimetal hole saw to another. Does anyone have the process? Thanks.

If yours is like most others you need to back up the large nut at the rear until the plate with 2 pins can slide back and disengage from the blade. Then unscrew the sawblade in the usual sense.

hello
the newer models are spring loaded, just below the hexaganal shank that goes into the chuck you will find a milled edge section ,if you grip this and pull towards the chuck it should!!!!!! move back about 3/16" this remove the locking dog teeth from the hole saw and you can now unscrew the cutter and change the size. if you look on the top of the hole-saw you are hoping to fit you will see two hole (one each side of the threaded central hole) these are for the dogs to go into that stop the threads being strippped
regards teabag.
Thanks guys, that's it. So simple, yet...
