Greetings, I am investigation the idea of starting a woodworking guild and am looking for any kind of insight.
- From members – what do you like about your guild, what don’t you like, general ideas of meetings and the like
- From guild creators – what are major pitfalls to avoid, what works and what doesn’t, forming a committee, do you accept all members regardless of skill level or is there some kind of criteria to enroll, arranging guests, dues and fees
You can identify your guild at your discretion.
Thanks in advance,
Jim

Do you know about The League of New Hampshire Craftsmen? One of the oldest guilds in the country. They aren't restricted to woodworking only. I think they serve as a very good example.
