I was on Krenov’s website (Jameskrenov.com) and clicked on his latest piece and was a bit puzzled by what I found. Does anyone have any insight or information?

Are you puzzled by the cabinet or the fact that it is described as his last piece? I hope this is not his last. I'm a little puzzled now myself.

It may be the last. He is still active, but this is probably the last cabinet--and it is characteristically nice.
Take care, Mike
Wow, I was hoping you had misread "his latest unfinished cabinet", but your right, it says "his last unfinished cabinet." I suppose the last one had to be sometime. I hope all is well with Mr. Krenov.
I understand he is in general good health. It is the loss of being able to do detailed work on the cabinets that is the issue.
Take care, Mike
My read is that they are just referring to it as the last one so far. The cabinet is clearly completed just doesn't have a finish applied. Krenov is not one to put a lot into the finish coatings anyway... his forte is the hand planed surfacing. Doesn't look as though he's lost his touch to me!
The cabinet is without the stand. It may well not ever be added. I would purchase it as is in a heart beat. It is special, as most of Jim's work is.
But this is his last unless things change.
Take care, Mike
