Want to bend 14″ x3/4″ black walnut boards 6′ long on a 24″ radius on one end. If I joint 2 boards to get 14″ with biscuits are they still bendable? Or should I bend boards first, then try jointing?
thanks

Hi there,
I imagine they are still bendable if you can make a steam box big enough and get enough straps and come alongs on them to bend them. But that’s a big big job. Personally I’d use bent laminations to guarantee the bends separately and then glue them up. The more laminations the less spring back you'll get. Good luck. Gary
