Just thought I’d throw another post out there. I keep looking around the web and ebay, but have not found what I am looking for yet.
If anyone knows of an old Oliver (159) lathe being sold for parts, I need a tailstock.
On the other hand, if anyone has a good solid tailstock with a 12.5″ to 14″ swing over bed (aka 6-1/4″ radius or larger) that they are willing to part with on the cheap, let me know.
The bed has the std. 1.5″ gap. The design of the lathe and bed is such that I can shim up the headstock to meet a taller tailstock. But trying to lower the headstock, well, that’s a bit harder to do.
Thanks in advance.

Jim-
Someone here turned me on to this guy Harold Barker last year for a really old Delta tailstock, and sure enough he had it. He's got a ton of old tools and parts, and a lot of other wierd stuff.
Call him on the phone (it's his home phone#). He's got a website but no email.
