First I’d like to begin by saying that I’m a novice on a limited budget. Thus is what prompted me to tryout the Stott’s Dovetail Master. I have had some difficulties in making the jigs themselves from the template (i.e. cutting out the jigs). I was wondering if any of you more skilled people out there have used the template, and if you had any tips on making the jigs better?

Don't know about your templates, but I was so impressed with the FWW article (2 or 3 issues ago) about cutting the tails on the table saw using a beveled blade... If it were me, i'd skip the router template and try that. But, that said, your situiation is probably completly different. You may want to check it out if you haven't seen it.
good luck!
