I need to replace the 1″ nylon straps on my strap clamps. I can’t find the replacement strapping. Everybody wants to sell me new clamps. I just want the strapping.
Does anyone know a source?

You could try buying a nylon cargo tie-down or a tow line from somewhere like Harbor Freight.

Climbing/hiking/skiing/camping stores. High end hardware stores. Google for "nylon webbing".

Tried all that, with no luck. Harbor Freight has 5/8", but no 1"

Home Depot has really nice heavy duty tie-downs with long 1" straps. You get a pack of 4 for $14.99. I am trying to figure out how to convert these tie downs into band clamps - they have a very good ratcheting machanism.

I get 1" tubliar webbing in 300' rolls from my safety suplier. It is way over strenght for what you want, as it is really doubled. We use it for Swiss Seats and rescue slings in firefighter training. Since it comes from a safety supplier it is way overpriced for what you want, but will work. See if you can find someone in the rescue business who is in the process of replacing it, as once it is fraied or improperly stored it has to be taken out of service and replaced.
Just checked your user profile and saw where you live, check Dooley Tackaberry, Vallen, Casco, or Four Alarm in the Houston Yellow Pages.
