I need some advice on how to remove waterbased poly from a lamp I built several years ago. Now that I have more experience, I would like to go back and add some details to this lamp and darken the finish to match newer projects. I feel this would be easier if I could start with bare wood. Anyone ever had this same problem? I would appreciate any help.
Thanks
Greg

Use a stripper containing methylene chloride. It will cut through the poly the fastest and most completely clean the wood.
I'll second Howie and just add make sure you have GOOD ventilation. This is BAD stuff to breath but good for getting the job done.

Thanks for the info, I'll be doing this outside in the summer so ventilation should not be a problem.
