Hello, I removed a 30 ft maple from my yard yesterday. I cut it very close to the ground, it sarts out as one tree and within 2.5 feet it branches into three. I would like to preserve the stump and make an endtable out of it. Should i debark it right away, how long till it dries good enough to work on it. any tips, thanks

From experience with fir roots/branches for my bentwood furniture.... hopefully maple reacts the same......leave the bark on, it helps slow drying and reduces checking, keep it in a dry(warm if possible) high air flow area for one to two years to stabilize and then....peel it and work away.(or kiln dry slowly to get to it sooner)
*Thanks for the info Phil, I'll be back in ywo years when it's dry. Thanks
