Stupid Spam filter is getting in the way of giving help
Who is controlling Knots now? I was suppose to be put on a list of trusted members months ago who aren’t screwed over by the spam filter, but am still being stopped from posting replies that include links to helpful articles or even detailed steps to help answer questions. I’m not selling anything nor trying to mess over anyone. I have been a member here for years and have stuck around while others left this forum long ago because of this kind of frustration with the site. Do you want experienced members here who are willing to assist new workworkers or not? Fix this, I don’t have tons of time to waste reworking a reply just to make the spam filter happy. And I don’t like being forced to give incomplete answers when all I am trying to do is provide a fellow woodworker with information. And just for the record, I am a paying member of this site because I value the information it contains and want to see it continue.

In fact, I'm beyond fed up. The filter is ridiculous. Even the simple act of logging on is painful. I seldom even look at this board anymore as the traffic has dwindled to a trickle.

Saw mill Creek has a lot of discussion that interests me. Smart people over there.
I miss the cheerier colors of the older Knots. The new colors are kind of cold. I suppose I hung around here because I like the look of the site and the connection to the magazine.
They obviously don't want anyone to come here.
I haven't signed on Saw mill Creek because they want every member to use their real name.
I like a handle. If nothing else it is more interesting and mysterious and humorous in some cases.

I already do that part of the time because the new people can't get back on to converse. At least that is what I like to think is the reason they don't respond.
Could it be that they just get their answer and just leave without saying thanks or go jump in a lake or some kind of response at all ?

My impression is . . .
. . . that no one is "in charge" here. It doesn't appear that any of the staff actually monitors the forum or the associated message accounts. Thus, one is inclined to believe the management strategy is to just let Knots die on its own.
