Hello,
I am building a home entertainment center and I have installed 270 degree hinges for the two large doors in front.
I need to design a door pull/knob that is flush so that when I open the doors all the way around, they won’t bang into the side of the case and and make noise and damage it.
Any suggestions? I would prefer to make my own, out of wood, but have not seen much that is interesting and will be almost flush with the stiles.
Any ideas and pics would be welcome.
Thanks.

One approach is to not have pulls. Instead, have finger holes which go through the door. You stick your finger in the hole, crook the tip, and pull. Some builders like to put the hole near the edge of the door, or even arrange the holes on the two doors so that together they form some shape like a circle.
A variation on this is to have a back on the hole, so you can't see through. However, for my fingers, you need a door which is about an inch thick to do this.
You could make completely handle-less doors by using a TouchLatch kind of mechanism. Pressing the door pushes it out at you an inch or so. Next press closes it again. But you need to use hinges with no spring (or disable the spring in them)
