I don't have the answer, but I'll bet that you will have better luck if you post this question over at Breaktime (the Fine Homebuilding site, accessible from a link above).
I seem to remember a posting there a year or so ago.

actually looking at piecing it together. I have seen flat stock used also I have seen stocked milled with peaks. I guess I am just being lazy in hoping someone has done the math. I just have been inundated
with unusual projects as of late so I thought I might try to save some time

You may not like this answer, but nowadays things like that are mostly made by casting plastic of various sorts. Outwater is one online source (http://www.outwater.com). Look in the architectural section under exterior millwork. For $100-$200, you have several choices in style and size. It is 'way less expensive than building one from wood, what with the curved moulding at the top. After it is painted, who's going to know whether it is wood or not?
