Ernie, I am in the process of making a farmhouse dining table. I would like to know what extension slides to use to assure success for two, 24 inch extensions on a 96 inch table?
thanks, PAN

Building a table is often like filling your plate at a smorgasbord--your eyes are bigger than your stomach. This will be a big table! If I understand correctly you want to be able to put two 24" wide leaves in your table and it will be 96" long when both leaves are installed. This would make for a 48" table in the closed position. Leaves are more normally in the 17" to 18" range for reasons of wood stability, the average person being able to handle them and so on. I would plan for a slightly larger table closed and 17" leaves. If you want to stick with your Jumbo design, Acme makes slides that open as much as 60".
With best regards,
Ernie Conover
