I am trying to find out how a particular table extension is made. The specific extension that I need is the kind that is pulled out from the end of the tabe where it is stored. It is pulled out and lifts up into place and is then pushed forward and is locked into place. When it is no longer needed it pulls out and down and is concealed back under the end of the table.
I am in quite an urgent need for this informatio. If anyone knows where I could find a drawing or description of how this device works, I would be most appreciated.

Hi Phil,
I've seen a few tables with this type of retractable leaf hardware, but I can't recall if there is more than one manufacturer that produces such hardware.
I found one example on Lee Valley's Web site. It's what you're looking for, but like I said, I'm not sure what other options are available. Like most commercial hardware, it's hard to tell exactly how it's engineered.
Hope that helps,

Many thanks, Matt, for the Parsons table fittings. That hardware would work for me except I need the extension to clear a 1 1/2 " granite countertop. If you see anything like that I and a lot of other kitchen makeover folks would be thrilled.
Phil
