I am building a table top that will be frame and panel. i want to round the inside and outside corners of the frame. Is it better to mortise and tenon the frame or should i miter it before i shape it out. the panel will be a veneered panel that i will set in a rabbet of the frame. I am planning on using a template and router to make the panel so that it weill fit in perfectly, but was wondering if there may be any other ideas

Just to be sure, I assume the panel you are veneering has a substrate of plywood or other manmade material. Solid wood, even if veneered, moves too much to be firmly set in a frame without possibility of moving,
Mitered joints can open with seasonal moisture changes if the frame is at all wide. Still the main choice should be aesthetic.
