Does any body have recommendations or suggestion on where I could find a 20″ in table, leaf extender (like the one below), but for a leaf that is 1 1/2″ thick? The one on the link is only for 1.1″…
I’ve hunted around but I’m not having any luck..

If no luck finding maybe you could use a sub-frame under the leaf to take up the difference?
Designed for a leaf thickness of 1.1" or less...
Sorry, there I go again.. I was thinkin' backwards!

I'm not 100% clear on how these lifters function, but if I understand it correctly, the only place you'd notice a 1.1" leaf on a 1.5" table is along the edge. Do the ends of the leaf project past the frame? So that you could hollow out the underside of the leaf to 1.1" only in the center where it contacts the frame??
If you build it - he will come.
Alison,
Lee Valley doesn't make that mechanism, they only distribute it. I would give Lee Valley a call and ask if they could give you name of the manufacturer and how to get in contact with them. The manufacturer might make what you need or they could tell you how to adapt the hardware for a thicker leaf.
