Hi I just bought a cabinet saw and I have always had a radial arm saw.I subscribe to Fine woodworking and woodsmith,I wan to make a cut off sled for the saw and I remember seeing a plan for one in those books but I can’t think of which one. I am sure I don’t need a plan for it but I would like to look it over. Can anyone help me? Tks Mark

If you subscribe to this site go to the "Workshop" tab and look under "Tablesaw jigs". Also if you "google" tablesaw sleds I'm sur something will come up.

If you're interested, Highland Hardware sells a kit that includes phenolic runners & some sort of clear (lexan, plexiglass?) shield to cover the blade path.

Arg. I wish you had posted that link a couple weeks ago. I built a crosscut sled and bought UHWM plastic for the runners, but have not yet purchased plastic for the blade guard. The prices I've seen for Lexan are quite high, and this kit actually looks like a good deal.
I went to the site but couldn't find the kit you refer to. Is there a specific key word I should use for a search or some other way to find it on the site?
thanks.
Heres the link. Seems like a good deal.http://www.tools-for-woodworking.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2626
