Hello everyone,
My father has been searching far and wide for a device that he saw demonstrated by the inventor at woodworking shows in Upstate New York.
It was a table saw jig for making very fine finger joints. Each finger was about the width of the saw blade itself.
Has anyone seen such a device or know the name of it?
Thanks for your help.

Hi Paul,
I'm not sure but it sounds like you are talking about the Woodsmith box joint jig.Check it out at http://www.WoodsmithStore.com look under the shop jigs link, there's one in wood and one in aluminum.
Good luck,
Brent

You're welcome
FG,
If you convert your Incra 1000 to a 1000se ie. a stop with micro adjustment....you can do the same fine tuning on finger joints and have a bunch of jigs for 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", etc.
Hi BG! I saw the conversion kit a couple years ago at the WWer show, but spent all my money on saw blades and Grip-Tites. Do you know where it is still available? Haven't seen it on any of the web sites I've visited.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)Another proud member of the "I Rocked With ToolDoc Club" .... :>)
FG,
It is interesting you bring up WWorking Show, just yesterday morning I was thinking how I had not heard anything about the one in Springfield, MA this winter. I'll bet you'll never guess what was held this past weekend..and I missed it.
Woodcraft moves a lot of the Incra miters they may be a good source for upgrade kits. Unfortunately, it's one of those things ya hate to throw money at unless you have a pressing and immediate need...
"...and I missed it." Oooo, bummer! I have until April to save up for the Seattle/Tacoma show. The "Tacoma" part is the downside. When the show's in Seattle, I can just walk onto the ferry and take the bus to the convention center. Tacoma a 1.5 hr. drive into very nasty, snarly traffic and, as far as I know, not within walking distance of a great restaurant for us Knotheads to meet in!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)Another proud member of the "I Rocked With ToolDoc Club" .... :>)
This may be what you want. It was called a mini-fence joint and inlay jig-manufactured by KYRMI corp. box 351, Eckert Co. 81418 (303) 835-3433- My manual says copywrite 1991. They may not be in business or make this jig any more. Basically it made finger joints with about a 1/8 Inch kerf. By using various angle blocks you could cut the fingers at what ever angle you wished to achieve accurate closure. It was also used to make inlays if you wanted to make your own. The Oak Park jig cuts finger joints at 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch kerfs. The unit I have is made of black plastic and works sort of like a sliding table. I HAVE NEVER USED IT. Boy can they sell at these wood shows. Every body had a "gotta have it" tool. I am not sure when I bought the unit but it has been a number of years ago.
Kyrmi Instruction Manual
Sir, do you have an instruction manual for using the Kyrmi Mini-Fence. If so could you please quote me a price to make me a copy and send it to me. I have the jig but can not find the manual. The Company no longer seems to be in business. Thank you very much. Reid Heilig
