Can anyone tell me the best blade guard w/splitter. One that is not too bulkey. I don’t use anything now. Tired of rolling the dice!! I have a 5 hp delta unisaw. 20 years ago in shop class we had one that would split in half for certain cuts, It had a boom coming over from the right side.It was all metal. I favor this type. Can anyone help me, I’m ready to buy now.
Thank you, Lou

I personally like the microjig splitter with an ovearm gaurd. I like the microjig because I use a thin kerf blade and they make one that pops in and out easily. The over arm gaurd is the Penn industries model it's much cheaper than the excalibur. In another thread here someone posted plans to build one for about 60$ that looked interesting. Good luck.
