I’ve just gotten the OK to order a new tablesaw, and have decided to go with a Grizzly 1023. I’ve been reading a lot about different saws, and in doing so have started to think maybe a sliding table might not be a bad idea. Have heard a lot of negatives about the Grizzly sliding table, particularly concerning the difficulty/impossibility of getting it aligned. But, it seems that every sliding table has a certain number of issues with alignment. Does anybody out there have experience with the Grizzly or other sliding tables? I would appreciate any negative or positive feedback.
Thanks to all

I've set up Exactor's, Excaliber, and commercial sliders such as Paolini, SCMI and alignment has never been a problem on any of them. Don't know about the Grizzly per se but it shouldn't be any worse. Have you looked at saws with the slider built like the Kufo, etc.
Rick-I have not looked at any saw with factory installed sliders. The reason for this is these seem to be more industrial than I need or want, particularly when it comes to paying for one. I have never heard of Kufo before, but after reading your message I checked out their website. Not much there, and I was not able to find much info about them or their products on the web. As far as alignment of add-on sliders, it seems that I am reading a lot of feedback which says this is a problem. I guess I just would like to know if these are exceptions or the norm.
I don't know what brand add on sliders you are hearing about but I know a number of folks with the exactor and excaliber who are having no problems. The Kufo http://www.seco-usa.com/ company has been around for over 20 years. There is also http://www.rojekusa.com/PHP/index.php
Plenty of other options. There are quite a few used Minimax SC3's out there. We used to sell a ton of them and One just sold near me for $1,300. There's other nice 4' sliders kicking around like SCMI and a few other brands. If I can't cut a 4 x 8 on a saw it's not worth my time. I think the cabinet saw is a pretty outdated unit as far as being practical. A slider replaces a radial arm saw and miter saw in my shop.
I have the TKU which is brilliant, not sure if available in USA.

I've got an Exaktor. If I ever get the extra cash I'll buy a format saw but this will do until then. I love it - a real pleasure to use.
concerning the difficulty/impossibility of getting it aligned..
I'd think some folks just hate shims.. Or 'think' they are a bad thing...
