In one of the late 2001 or early to mid 2002 issues of FWW a reader sent in their tapering jig plans. I just can’t seem to find what issue. The jig uses an eccenctic adjustment to set the taper.
Thanks for your help, Dick

I saw the article but don't remember the issue. Check the FWW on-line index.
I don't like these jigs because it's too hard to line-up the angle exactly. Instead I keep a scrap of melamine, ply, or mdf that's 3-4' long by 6-12" wide. Set the fence and shave the edge of the sled, don't move the fence. Layout the cut line on the workpiece carrying the lines down the edge. Line up theses lines with the edge of the sled. Take 3 scraps out of the bin and your brad gun and tack 2 along the long edge and 1 behind the work piece. Run it through the saw. It's simple, exact and 100% repeatable (at least unit I remove the blocks) and takes maybe 5 minutes without any need for trial and error.

Dick,
You're looking for the June 2002, issue #156 - page 14.
