I own a 9″ Delta/Rockwell tablesaw and recently aquired an earlier version of a 10″ Craftman saw.
I have considered replacing these saws with a mid-range priced or hybrid saw. My concern is that I may actually be downgrading given that back when, these saws were built of much higher quality than what might be available today.
Feedback and experience please. Thank you.

Thanks for your reply to my inquiry about older table saws. Picked your name off my e-mail, unfortunately, your message was not on the Tool Talk forum when I went there. Could you reply again please, I am very interested in what you may have to say.
Thanks
Ron

I had a 10" Porter Cable benchtop saw (the $400 model) that made smooth cutting of about anything I put through it. Upgrad? Downgrade? I enjoyed using it and I'll probably be getting another one sometime soon.

New generation PC leaves to be desired.
That last word in portable TS's is the Bosch 4000.
