Taunton now ships FWW Magazine WITHOUT protection
I just received Issue#305. It was received without the usual grey opaque plastic envelope protecting it.
Result:
– The magazine is all mangled
– There is a shipping label stuck right on top of the front page cover art
Am I the only one annoyed by this change in packaging quality?

I've NEVER received a copy in an envelope or pouch. Always just the mag with the sticker on it. (NYC)
Same as mj. I've never gotten one in a protective anything. Just bare.
I have been a Subscriber for 10+ years and always received the magazine inside a grey opaque plastic cover. (Quebec, Canada)
I believe you.
Yep, mine came in same way. Tried to peel off the mailing sticker and now have the residual sticky mess. Progress eh?
Please bring back plastic cover otherwise reading through a dirty mangled magazine isn’t very pleasant
I got mine last week in perfect condition, without the plastic bag. They could have picked a better spot for the label, but I enjoyed not having to try to tear open the plastic and put it in recycle, where it likely ends up in the dump or a third world country. I've subscribed to numerous magazines over the years and I think FWW is the first in plastic. I can't remember any being in complainable condition.
I am a magazine editor and have experienced little trouble over almost 50 years with the U.S. Postal Service. Certainly some pieces get mangled, but they are actually rare. We get very few complaints shipping ours without envelopes or protective covers. Let's not generate unnecessary waste!
