I have 2 teak tables that have several years of wax build up on the tops. How should I remove the wax build up? Also, what is your best guess on the type of finish these tables have?
Thanks

The wax can easily be removed with naptha or mineral spirits. You may need to wash it down a number of times with the thinner to remove all the wax. Have lots of paper towels and keep turning them over as you wipe the solvent off.
When complete you can give it a wash with a little dish detergent and water and wipe it clean.
If it is production furniture, most likely the finish is lacquer.
