I just bought a Delta tenoning jig thinking that the t-slots on table saws were all the same distance from the blade. Evidently not. I have a Jet supersaw and the blade is 7 inches from the t-slot. There is no way to adjust the jig to work on my saw as it ride too far away from the blade. Will someone please tell me everything else like this I need to know about power tools so I won’t make this kind of mistake again. 🙁

Flip that puppy upside down and check the base for another set of screw holes for the miter slider bar. I have the generic version of the delta(made in same factory) and it is adjustable.

Interesting that you should mention that. I tried it, but it turns out that the second set of holes for the slide are exactly in line with the holes for attaching the base. Once you get the slider on, you can't use both holes to attach the base. Once you have the base attached, you can't attach the slider where it needs to go. I should mention that I bought this used and already assembled. I don't see any other way of putting it together and I'm thinking that the base is machined incorrectly.
Any other suggestions? Anyone?

Scott,
Maybe some (longer) screws missing?

O.K., so I took the thing apart completely and by using a different order of assembly, I was able to move the slide over to the other slots. The fence is still a little over an inch and a half away from the saw blade. I suppose I could attach a sacrificial fence to the face of the metal fence, but that would sacrifice a lot of the adjustability of the jig. Any one want to buy a delta tenoning jig?
There was a comparison of all of them in FWW less than a year ago. If they didn't mention this, I think you should sue them. Ha. KOK, I will give you five $ and the advise is free.

Any chance a machine shop could drill and tap screw holes that would allow you to work with this unit?

I'm afraid that if I did that the balance would be so far off center that it might compromise the safety of the unit. I think I'll just ry to sell it and buy one that is the right size for my saw. I assume they make one, but I'm not sure how safe that assumption is.
I have not seen one but could you not remove the slider and pass the unit over the saw blade by reference to your saw fence? That may mean moving the fence to the left side of the blade but so what.
Apologies if this is a silly suggestion.
Some time ago I bought the delta tenoning jig to work on my PM66. About the same time someone else did the same thing and one of mags picked it up and told how to drill new holes so it would fit the PM. Bingo. I was lucky.
