Anybody have or used the Alberti Disk Sander? Thinking of buying one but would really like a review because it cost $1,000.
I build delicate wood products and sand to final dimensions and a power sander is to aggresses. A couple thousandths of an inch can make a difference so that is why I’m looking at this sander. It looks well made but I would like to hear from someone who has experience the sander.

(Drool Tools indeed!)
Thank you Botch, that was a useful review.
Can you handle all of your work with one hand?
If you have a lathe..
Can you make a trial facsimile with phenolic faced plywood disc, bearing block mount with ball bearing and phenolic ply table? We’re not talking about speed here really we’re talking about rigidity, controlled rotation and secure workpiece mounting with jigs for compound angles and clamps.
Is experience with a $100 shop built replica worth the time and trouble?
