Probably the wrong forum for asking this, but does anyone have experience they can share about Jet’s (under $200) 10″ tablesaw?

Didn't realize they had one that cheap. The price point sounds like a direct-drive saw (=benchtop model). Not very useful, really. Do you have a link?

I don't have a link, but you can see what it's about at the Jet site. It's a belt-drive saw.
It is likely of no use in a serious shop, but its size and price make it of interest to tradesmen doing quick-in, quick-out projects where a little ripping is needed.
It's not for me. We've already got a good serviceable saw and stand, plus an EZ-Smart setup. I'm just curious to see how well Jet has designed this little thing. Or not.
I tracked it down here -- runs about $250. Looked up the owner's manual at Jet (had to register first). Jet web site just says "details coming soon." ROFL. Not keeping up with things, are they?
Looking at the owner's manual and parts diagram, it's a benchtop saw on a stand, modeled after the little Delta that sells at Home Depot it seems. Extendable this, extendable that. Tiny little fence. Tiny little miter gauge. Looks like quite a small motor, no HP listed.
Positives I see are the easy-adjust 90° stop, left tilt, fence adjustable to miter slot (but maybe not to table), blade adjustable to miter slot.
Seems OK for what it is, but it ain't much. I'll bet if that motor burned out, a new one would cost almost as much as the saw. Chances are, no aftermarket miter gauge would fit.
I started out with a bench-top saw from Ace, about $79 on sale. Put a decent blade in it, and it did the job for awhile, but there are so many drawbacks to those little saws, seems like paying $250 for one would really be a waste. I was able to re-sell mine for very close to what I paid for it, at a yard sale to a couple who were putting in their own flooring or something. forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Jet catalog says that the JBTS-10BT-3 Is rated at 15amps/115volt which equates to about 3-3.25 HP. But it is a universal brush type motor like you would find on a large router. It also weighs 52lbs.

Gene,
There has been some discussion about this saw over on the JLC website. Users seeme generally pleased with it but complain that the blade will drift down while ripping. A couple of field fixes are mentioned.
If you are going to comment over there bring a VERY thick skin, it is site for professional builders and carps and they don't talk to hobbyists and homeowners.
